Putting the Fun into Function… Precisely
We take an integrative approach putting precision and functional medicine principles to work for you. We start by comprehensively analyzing your bloodwork and DNA (this is not a general ancestry test) against your medical history to determine the potential root causes of any ailments that you currently may be suffering or to which you may be susceptible in the future.
Through our state-of-the-art AIMD℠ approach, we then prepare a comprehensive treatment/management/wellness/prevention plan individually tailored to the unique you to help you achieve your healthcare goals and objectives, and maintain optimal wellness. We then monitor your progress for the duration of your membership.
We do not believe that long-term health and wellness can be achieved by merely treating the symptoms of an ailment. Under our approach, “one size, does not fit all.” You may be a part of a medically-recognized group. But you are not an “average person.” You are the wonderfully unique you, together with your own unique set of genetic dispositions. We then tailor your health plans and strategies specifically to you as an individual, not as a number.
What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine aims to determine what may be disturbing the body’s equilibrium, the dysfunction of which gives rise to the ailments or symptoms that an individual may be suffering (in other words, what is preventing optimal functioning). Functional Medicine does not treat symptoms in isolation, as is often the case with conventional medicine.
Our AIMD℠ Approach

We view the human body as a complex array of eloquent biological systems, each having a unique purpose and supporting the body’s other systems. For the body, as a whole, to operate successfully, each of these systems must operate optimally and synchronously with each other. Think of your body as an orchestra, where each section must operate synchronously with the other sections to produce a rich and vibrant symphony.
Often times, disease results from an underlying imbalance or dysfunction of one or more of the body’s numerous systems. The symptoms or ailments that we suffer are simply the manifestations or perceptible consequences from these dysfunctions. Back to our orchestra example, if the horn section is off-key or off-time, well, you know what happens to the sound of the symphony. If we discover that no one in the horn section can read music, then the symphony has a major root problem.
Therefore, addressing root causes and optimizing the body systems’ interactions makes much sense especially in the areas of disease prevention and wellness; anti-aging; brain and cognitive health; and chronic disease management. Establishing a good foundation is also crucial in anticipation of known health milestones (such as, for example, menopause or andropause, and natural aging points).
An important part of wellness is getting ahead of these known curves.
